What is SaaS or Cloud computing?
Software as a service (SaaS) is also sometimes called “on-demand”, it is a software delivery model in which the software and the associated data are hosted centrally on the internet – this is where it has coined the term “cloud”. It is accessed securely by users through a web browser over the Internet.
SaaS has become a common delivery model for most business applications, including accounting, collaboration, customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), invoicing, Point of Sales (POS), Back of Office (BOS), inventory or stock management, human resource management (HRM), content management (CMS) and
service desk management. SaaS has been incorporated into the strategy of many leading enterprise software companies.
